Mobile Phone Chargers
|
|
The mobile phone chargers are nothing but an electronic device used to restore energy back into the cells or batteries by forcing a reverse current through it. The current and voltage of the charger depends on the battery specifications. There are many types of mobile phone chargers available in the market. A simple charger simply provides a direct current to charge the batteries and dose nothing more. Its charging current is predefined, takes longer to recharge the batteries and may result in over charging which causes severe damage to the cell.
Timer based charger has pre-determined timer set so that batteries are not over charged. It was commonly used when the nickel Cadmium batteries were in use during the late 1990s. However, if the batteries are not fully discharged before charging it can still result in partial over charging. Soon after, the intelligent mobile phone chargers were designed where the current supplied to charge the batteries varies depending on the state of the battery. As batteries near their full charge, the current supplied decreases and finally, eliminating the problem of over charge. This makes the charging process slow down as the batteries approaches its full charge. The fast mobile phone chargers have an even better control over the intelligent type. It provides an optimum current right till the end of the charging process with the help of advanced control circuitry.

They even come with a cooling fan to help keep the temperature down.
Some mobile phone chargers use the Pulse Technology which feeds a pulse to the battery and can charge any kind of batteries irrespective of its size, current and voltage requirements. The USB based mobile phone chargers are solely designed for convenience for those who have access to desktops and laptops. Apart from these there are other innovative designs like the dynamo charger and the solar chargers.
