- One of the post paid schemes of BPL allow the customers to call local numbers at reduced rates. By paying Rs 49/month for each local number, a subscriber can get 50 % discount on call charges. The 50 % discount charges can be availed only if the subscriber is within the home network.
By paying Rs 30/- every month, a discount of 60 % on STD charges can be availed. The reduced call charges can be availed only if the subscriber is within the home network.

Another scheme of post-paid BPL connection is the Paisa Vasool scheme. It allows a subscriber to call local number at .50p/min and STD at Re 1/min.
Another tariff plan is the night scheme. It allows a consumer to talk to his/her loved ones or friends during the night a reduced call rates. Rs 49/- is charged on a monthly basis.
HDFC Bank, Citibank, ABN Amro Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank (previously known as UTI Bank) account holders can activate phone banking with post-paid BPL connections.
The bills of post-paid BPL connection are send once in a month after completion of 30 days. The bills can be paid either through cheques or by cash.
